The exhibition space was approximately 110000 square meters. With 500 participating companies, Italy ranked first in terms of numbers of exhibitors. Germany followed at place 2 with 290 exhibitors. Highly qualified international experts used this opportunity to meet each other and to demonstrate their performance and innovation capacities. The EMO fair covers the entire bandwidth of the global machine tool market. The visitors were provided with delicious food. The industry has an optimistic outlook on future prospects. The fair could profit from the world exhibition, which took place simultaneously. The exhibition halls of EMO were directly connected to the Expo 2015 area. The global consumption of machine tools amounted to 60 billion Euro in 2015 and is expected to increase to 63 billion Euro in 2016 and to 67 billion Euro in 2017.
